Lost emojis

Since the last update I have lost all emojis on my iPhone 16Pro, iMessage. I have stickers but they are just a bunch of useless, childish, cartoon faces. I used the other emojis for symbols and so on and now they seem to be lost to me. I have deleted the emoji keyboard, reset the phone and reinstalled but it is the same. I have the emoji/stickers option turned off in the keyboard settings. Strangely the emojis work fine in WhatsApp.
