Reorder view menu in mail

With the last update, 26.01, the View order has moved “Select” to the bottom of the choices I can make. At the top “categories “ or “list view”. This seems logical. Why do I need to continue to see “about categories”, “show contact photos”, etc before “Select”? It seems as if those belong under settings. Whereas, “Select” is something I use each time I go to my mail.

Can I remove about categories, etc? Or move “Select”, the most common action, to the top of that list?
