Apple Pencil Pro not pairing to Find My

Whenever I attempt to add my Apple Pencil Pro to my Find My via M3 iPad Air 11, it prompts me to reattach the pencil before proceeding.

The pencil connects to my iPad without issue, but I can’t add it to the Find My app. I’ve force restarted my iPad and forgotten my pencil when re-pairing, but it’s no use.
