Why has the sending email sound stopped in Tahoe 26 or the last few OS upgrades on my MacBook Air?

Whenever I used to send an email, I would get this very satisfying whooshing sound after clicking "send", telling me that the email had taken off and was on the way. I really miss that sound, which stopped a couple of upgrades ago and never came back in the OS 26 upgrade either. Now if I want to know for sure that ny email had been sent I have to check in the "sent" folder.

Is there any way to get that sound bakd. I checked in the email System Settings, but I can only find settings for alertsvwhen Email arrives. Notihng about sending email sounds. Am I just not looking in the right place, or has that adjustment been abandoned by Apple?

In Mail > Mail menu > Settings > General tab, is the box to Play sounds for other mail actions ticked?

Verify you have not opted for any send delay / schedule / or unsend... emails.

In my case, all email sending had failed.

TL;dr: spelling checker. I turned it off and now I can send email and get the Whoosh sound again.

I guess the latest Tahoe 26.1 update broke my spelling checker?
