Icloud service is being charged twice a month

Hi there,

I ask for help anyone who may help. I pay for icloud+ service (family sharing mode) but I found out, that Apple charges me twice a month. The issues is as follows: Apple processes first payment every 13th day of a month but payment itself is for some reason not visible in transaction(purchase) list. Second payment is processed approximately a week after first payment. Second payment is visible in transaction list. I claim double charging at Apple every single month. Apple refunds second payment, re-sets icloud+ service which makes it unavailable for me hence I got to pay again to have service up and running. No single word from Apple several months even though I regularly claim the issue and ask them for support since it is really irritating but no luck

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 18

How do you know the first charge is for iCloud+ exactly if it does not appear in your Purchase list?

How are you determining this?

Apple's charges appear as "apple.com/bill" on your statement, but don't identify what they are for, so it sounds like you are just assuming that's what it's for and requesting a refund which cancels your current iCloud subscription. When it's probably not for that at all.

Since you're the Organizer in a Family sharing group, it definitely sounds like some other member of the family sharing group is starting their own iCloud+ subscription or some some other charge which is still charged to you under family sharing.

You need to check active subscriptions and charges on the other member's accounts to identify the charge and cancel it from there.

You see 3 payments, but you can't actually really know what they are for, yes, you can be somewhat confident what a payment is for based on amount, but if you have a payment that you cannot actually correlate to a charge on your apple account directly, then you can't actually be 100% certain its a double payment for the same thing as something else.

Just because it has the same price does not mean it's for the same thing. Apple has different things that cost the same amount.

Also, it's pretty unlikely the system broke down and is actually charging you twice for the same thing. This kind of thing is protected against in Apple's system so becomes highly, highly unlikely.

You complaining about the charge on your account when its not there to be found and cancelled is why you get your iCloud subscription cancelled, since it would be the only charge directly tied to your account that Apple support can find and refund on your account.

In any case, as I said, if it does not appear on your account, its probably coming form one of the other members of the Family Sharing group or from someone else you may share your payment method with.

That is in all honestly the most probable scenario.

Oh, it is super easy to identify both of them in my bank account statement, because these payments have identifier “Apple.com/bill”. I subscribed for two services: Apple music and Icloud+ so I can not be wrong - I see three payments in a month: two for iCloud+(both have same price) and third one for Apple music. I know the link you have provided. I use it when I claim payments. As I wrote, I can not find first payment there. Furthermore, I just double checked family members subscriptions as we speak and I see nothing wrong=no attempt to subcribe for Icloud+. I can imagine how weird it sounds. Thank you very much for your reply!
