External monitor randomly disconnects/reconnects from MacMini M2

Using MacOS 26.0.1, my Mac now randomly disconnects from my external monitor (plugged via HDMI) and then reconnects. This did not happen before. I replaced the HDMI cable but the issue persists the same. Does someone experience this? Any solution? Because to me it looks like a software issue, like when an important prompt appears or when I go click a button in webpage after not moving the mouse for a couple a minutes...

What monitor make and model do you have?

Did you use the HDMI cable that came with the monitor (if it came with one)?

Have you tried another cable, one that's high quality video/data capable?

There's another, unusual fix, that only two have worked for them (me being one), and that's the application Zoom. I have the same problem and removed the Zoom application and all supporting files and the brief blackout was no more. Very unlikely but worked for me. Do you have Zoom installed? If so you might try deleting it and all its supporting files. You can always reinstall it if it doesn't help.

What make and model is the external display that you have connected to the M2 Mac mini..?

Did you replace the HDMI cable with a short high speed certified HDMI cable or just another long TV cable..?
