Redundant mailbox folders in Mail app with iCloud

My Mac Mail app has Deleted messages (iCloud) and also Recovered Messages (iCloud) listed under On My Mac. The is also a trash folder listed under On My Mac. Under iCloud is listed the Junk folder and also a second Trash folder. These seem redundant. The On My Mac folders are empty, everything is in iCloud. Is it safe to delete the On My Mac folders and just live with the iCloud folders?
