Unable to sign in to AppleTV after bundle purchase on Peacock

I purchased the Peacock & AppleTV bundle via Peacock and am unable to get access to AppleTV. Peacock works but AppleTV keeps asking for me to sign up for a free trial of Apple TV+ when I open the app on my phone, or tv via Roku. Help!!!

iPhone 16, iOS 18

Unfortunately, if I’m reading this correctly, the announcement of the offer does not include details on how to activate both services.

If you can’t figure it out, then consider contacting the support staff of the organization where you made this bundle purchase.

I would expect that the redeeming procedure through Peacock would include providing your Apple Account email address, so that the Apple TV+ subscription would be linked to that account, whereas the Peacock part of the bundle subscription would be linked to a Peacock account. But other arrangements are also feasible, and unfortunately I’m not in an eligible region to test this.

You would think this was an easy fix. I bought the bundle through appletv. I can’t sign on to peacock. I can’t even create a username and password without signing up for another package. 2 hours on phone with both Apple and peacock and they can’t figure it out. Shared my screen with them and followed every step for them to say they don’t know. They both say to contact the other. So annoying!

Not sure why Apple makes this so cryptic and complicated. I tried setting it up on my iPad when I visited my daughter and son-in-law. He guided me through each step, but still took an inordinate amount of head scratching before it was accepted. Now I got the bundle through Peacock, and finally on my 4th day of trying, somehow managed to jump through all their hoops. I would relay steps but, frankly I have no idea what I did that was more correct than my other attempts. Most frustrating was message: No subscription found, contact Peacock.

This was at the bottom of the AppleTV homepage. Once I did what it said below, the "free trial" on my AppleTV+ went away. I bundled through Peacock. I hope this helps everyone.

If you are already an existing Peacock subscriber, you are still able to upgrade to the bundle by signing up in the Apple TV app, the Peacock app on iOS, iPadOS and tvOS, or on tv.apple.com. To avoid having multiple subscriptions, you may need to manage any existing subscriptions before signing up for the bundle. If your existing Peacock subscription is billed by Peacock directly, you may also purchase the bundle by signing into your Account on the Peacock website and navigating to the “Plans & Payment” page to view the bundle options. If you are currently on a Peacock Annual plan, your access to the bundle will not begin until your existing Annual plan expires.
