All my Mail smart mailboxes have stopped registering/displaying new messages since installing the latest Tahoe 26.0.1 upgrade (old ones prior to that upgrade are still displayed.)
The Today and Today Viewed are completely empty.
I am using a MacBook Air M1. I have tried closing and restarting Mail, and also shutting down the laptop and restarting, but to no effect.

Did you try to delete the Smart Boxes and create new ones?

Are you using a 3rd party mail account, or does this also happen with iCloud Mail?
If 3rd party, did you already delete the mail account and add it back again?

My smart mailboxes are still behaving erratically: I now have Today and Today Viewed back in action and functioning correctly but my others have not only stopped loading new messaged but have lost the old ones (still Inbox etc) that they were displaying previously.
It happens to iCloud Mail as well as Gmail.
All mail is being received in the Inbox(es), but no smart mail mailbox is being updated with any new messages that should appear in them.
Yes I tried deleting and then re-instating the smart mailbox for Today, and also deleting and re-instating its conditions.
