messages are not syncing between devices

so my messages are not syncing between my 2017 Mac book pro and my Apple Watch SE that is running the latest version my matchbook is running Ventura 13.7.8 it is my kids Apple ID that they are running. I set up his Apple Watch. this makes me really mad does anyone know how to fix this.
