Apple Pencil Pro bluetooth issue post IOS26 update

following update to IOS26, Apple Pencil pro latency being experienced in Notes and Onenote. Tried multiple fixes including reboot of ipad, bluetooth on/off etc. I have noticed under bluetooth that the Apple pencil pro shows as connected but intermittently shows not connected (for a second or two) then back to connected. This appears to be continuous.
