Whenever I plug it in, it clicks about every 2 seconds and the music comes out of my phone. There aren’t any pop ups or notifications when I plug it in either. Help me

I am unable to replicate your issue. My Apple USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter works as expected with my iPhone 17 Pro.

Consider that the 3.5mm cable that you are using may have a fault - or, potentially, is not wired correctly for your iPhone. There are different wiring standards for TRRS connections.

In general, there are three main wiring standards for 3.5mm TTRS connections - and they are not interchangeable:

  • CTIA (Apple)
  • OMTP (Nokia)
  • Camcorder AV
