iPhone XR with iOS 18.1 photos backup to iCloud despite contacts loss

Hi! I want to make sure my photos are backing up to iCloud… iPhone XR (18.1)

The option is turned on, YET so is the contacts option turned on, and I recently lost ALL of my contacts!! Trying to be vigilant with making sure that my 3500 photos are being synced to iCloud??!! Thank You~

Log in at icloud.com and select photos. Do you see your images? Keep in mind, iCloud Photos is not a backup but a synchronization service. If you delete, edit, or modify a photo it will reflect everywhere.
