How do I find phone photo by img number

I have uploaded all the photos in my camera roll on the iPhone to my

Mac

I am getting a message that 4 images or videos cannot

be uploaded.

The image number of the photos that will not upload is shown. So I want to search for those

image numbers on my iphone to delete them.

Seems that the number of failed photos increases every few uploads.

But I have not found any way to search the photos on the phone to delete them.

The iphone photo search does not find by IMG number

I search by filename (or number) on the Mac from time to time with no problem, but I was surprised that it doesn't work on the phone. I thought it might have to do with my phone's Library being "Optimized," but my iPad is not, and searching by filename doesn't work there, either. Hmmm.

Here's what I do on my Mac sometimes: I would try hunting on the Mac for similar numbers-- instead of IMG_1234, I'd hunt for IMG_123 to get the pictures taken around that time and place to see the context. Then I might use that information to find the one I'm hunting for -- I'd use that info on the phone in this case, instead of the filename.

Are these pictures that were taken by your phone's camera, or did they arrive some other way, like from a web site or uploaded from a computer?
