How do I add Messages app back on my iMac Dock?

i Message was on desktop. Disappeared. How do I find it or get a new i Messages ap icon to replace it

You can drag the Messages app icon form the Applications folder in Finder to the dock or to the desktop and it will create an Alias there for it.


Alternatively, just open the Messages App, and when it reappears on the dock, right click it (Control+click, or 2 finger click) and select "Keep on Dock" from the Options sub-menu.
