Numeric keypad not working on Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for Mac

Hello,

I have a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and a numeric keypad for Macs with Apple silicon - French, and the numeric keypad has stopped working: only the = / * - + keys respond, not the number keys.

This happened to me recently, and the keyboard worked properly again without any action on my part.

How can I fix this?
