Recovering lost documents after macOS Tahoe

The usual way is to restore them from a Time Machine backup.

It's not normal for documents to simply go missing. Did you enable Desktop and Documents in iCloud?

Can you explain, what is the reason of such "thingy" to happen? Should I expect it during every update since now? I never experienced that before, neither I feel it to be okay that you mess with my files during the system update. Is there an official position of the company regarding this matter? As I can see, multiple users experienced it and Apple did nothing to fix the issue during almost whole last month. Does it mean you do not consider it to be an issue at all?

Sadly, since update my MacBook Pro M1 2021 to Tahoe 26.1 it appears nothing but the Fold is recoverable, no documents. TimeMachine Backup now doesn't have the documents, but had the Folders. Are the documents still on my MacBook or has Tahoe updated deleted them?

This just happened to me. I updated when Tahoe came out a while back, and now this morning, all my files are gone including iCloud and Time Machine. Any thoughts?
