Purchased Word. I only want Word, not microsoft 365 or any of the other stuff
Tiring of Microsoft PCs & their seemingly constant updating, onedrive & rules, I purchased a MacBook Air. The only thing I miss is Microsoft Word, which for decades I have used & want to continue using. I like it better than the Pages app on my Mac. So I purchased Word but I DO NOT want Microsoft 365 and all the multitude of wherewithal included therewith.
I open my first Word document, blank page, and I am notified that need a subscription to Edit & Save. This is contra to my needs & wants. I want to disassociate myself from Microsoft 365, do not want all the other crap that comes with Word. I only want Word.
Is there any methodology to make this happen without having to subscribe to Microsoft’s stuff?
