A random text box appeared on my mac book pro. - It is also on my phone! I want it off of there. Is this something related to AI?

Can you post a screenshot? Without more information, it's very hard to guess what you might be seeing.
My one thought is that you might have Hover text enabled. I know it's a feature on the phone, not sure about the Mac.
Settings> Accessibility>Hover Text. Turn it off.
