Scandisk ProBlade Transport and IPhone 17 Pro Max compatibility

I had an iPhone 16 Pro Max that recognized my Scandisk ProBlade (4TB) and Transport reader plugged directly into the iPhone. I upgraded yesterday to the IPhone 17 ProMax but it will not recognize the Transport/Problade. I keep getting IOS pop-up messages that flash and disappear so quickly that I can’t read it, but I think it’s saying something about not enough power to the external device (but the 16 pro max powered it). I upgraded to the 17 specifically because it can record in ProRes Raw, and my 4TB ssd would have been enough space for it, but I can’t seem to figure out what’s wrong (I’ve formatted and reformatted, but no luck). Any advice?
