USB speakers to my Ipad Pro problems

i am trying to connect a set of USB powered speakers to my IPad pro through a powered multiport adapter hub. I can hear the speakers buzzing but cant get any sound out of them.


if i unplug the powered multi port adapter i can hear sound through the IPad. It’s the same if i connect bluetooth speakers. Plugged in no sound unplugged i have sound

To obtain sound via a USB connection, you will need to connect a suitable adapter that incorporates a DAC. If your USB Hub does not provide an analogue (typically 3.5mm) audio connection.


You might consider using an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter:

As an alternative, there are many third-party USB-C DACs of varying quality - some supporting hi-res audio formats - such as the AudioQuest Dragonfly series. Here is one example:
