i am attempting to sign into a discord account on the firefox browser on my mac, whenever i scan the passkey it attempts to connect for a few seconds, doesn't, then comes up with the error 'This operation could not be completed, please try again', creating a new passkey didn't work, and it never gets past the connecting stage before failing.

Are you using the current version of Firefox (143.0.4 as of today); if not, update Firefox and try logging in again.
Are you using any FFox privacy plugins, such as Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin, Noscript, Ghostery, etc. Any of them could interfere with the passkey login.

Does the same problem occur if you use Safari instead of Firefox?
It could be a FF problem, or Discord, or both.
