Distorted pops on Apple Music while gaming on macOS Tahoe

If I play music from Apple Music while gaming on Tahoe, I get distorted cracks/pops in the music around every 60 seconds or so. It sounds exactly like when you push a needle on a vinyl record and it distorts for a second. I'm on an M1 iMac. I haven't tested if it's related to lossless or not.

I can get around it by airplaying music from my iPhone to my iMac, but then I lose lossless and automix since airplay can't handle those features while streaming.
