- App-Specific Text Size (Mail App):
- Open Control Center (swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen).
- Look for the Text Size button (it looks like a small 'A' next to a large 'A'). If you don't see it, you may need to add it in Settings >>Control Center.
- With the Mail app open, tap the Text Size button in Control Center.
- At the bottom of the screen, there's usually a toggle to select between "Mail Only" and "All Apps." Make sure "Mail Only" is selected (it will be highlighted).
- Use the vertical slider to increase the font size specifically for the Mail app. This setting often helps override the small font in split views.
Note on iPadOS 26 Multitasking:
iPadOS 26 introduced a new Mac-like Windowing System that replaced the older Split View and Slide Over on some models, or made them work differently. If you are using the new resizable window mode, the way Mail handles the dynamic text size when the window is small might be the cause. Adjusting the app-specific text size for Mail is usually the best way to address this.
