macOS Tahoe Not Showing Sync Settings Window.
Greetings, program.
I am trying to sync photos onto my iPod with macOS Tahoe Music. When I plug in my iPod and open the tab for my iPod in Music, and try to click the 'Sync Settings' button, the button doesn't work. This button should take me to the window where I can manage all of my music, photos, videos, etc., through one window in Finder. This window seemingly does not exist on macOS Tahoe. No matter where I look, it will not show up. Even trying to search for it in Finder doesn't work. And yes, I tried the TV app as well, and I had the same luck.
For those who need context, there's a tab in Finder that says 'iPod' whenever my iPod is plugged in, but this isn't the window I'm looking for. The window's name would be the name of my iPod, which is Memory Alpha 6th Generation, which would be listed under 'Locations' in Finder and nowhere else. The absolute latest macOS that this has worked with, at least for me, is macOS Sequoia, and every OS before that has supported iPods.
For what seems like no reason, Apple has either decided to can iPod support in macOS Tahoe, which isn't true because Music, TV, Finder, and even Disk Utility still recognize it, or there's a bug where the Sync Settings button in Music and TV doesn't work, which is the most likely case. Or, who knows? This could all just be on my end.
I'm all out of ideas for this and have to come here for help. If Reddit's gonna let me down, then Apple Community can't possibly... maybe... But anyway, if there is literally anything else that can be done, including reporting this to Apple, please let me know. My M4 Mac mini is the only device that I can use to sync my iPod, so there's literally no other option.
Thanks,
-SKM
End of line.
