Siri reads entire text of unread Outlook emails on iPhone 17

When I ask Siri if I have any unread email in Outlook mail on my iphone 17 and there indeed is unread mail, Siri begins reading the entire text of the email, and I mean every last word (sigh) and I have done everything I know to stop this from occuring and it is beginning to really annoy me. Any help and suggestions as to how to silence Siri are greatly welcome. Thanks.
