Apple Pencil Pro battery not showing in widget after restart and not charging

After updating my iPad to iPadOS 26, I noticed an issue with my Apple Pencil Pro.

• When I restart my iPad, the battery widget only shows the iPad battery, not the Pencil Pro.
• Once reattached, it suddenly appears at the same battery % (like 62%) but doesn’t behave like it was charging from 0%.
• Even after keeping it attached for a while, the percentage does not go up — it just stays stuck at 62%.
