Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts.

Select the email account that has the issue.

Toggle the Mail setting Off, wait a few seconds, and then toggle it back On. This forces the app to re-sync with the server.

Other Suggestions if the above doesn't work.

Open the Mail app and go to your inbox.

Tap the Filter icon (usually three lines with a circle) at the bottom left.

This will show you only the unread emails. Open any that still appear in this filtered view.

Tap the Filter icon again to turn the filter off.

As a last resort, you could delete the Mail app and reinstall it from the App Store (this is safer than deleting your email account, as all your mail is stored on the server).
