iPad Pro M4 lagging when using Apple Pencil Pro in the Journal app running iPadOS 26.0.1

Is anyone having this issue with the iPad Pro M4 lagging when using the pencil pro in the journal app running iOS 26.0.1? Im asking because I just got the pencil yesterday and want to eliminate if its a defective product or if it is software issue.
