iphone photo library not showing header in normal mode.

The photo library in iphone is not showing the header “library” in normal mode but in dark mode it is showing the header “Library”.

this has happened since the ios26 update and even after the successive update ios26.0.1. The issue persists.

i have restarted the iphone also but the isse is still there don’t know why this time the ios update has this much glitches.

Do you have Settings>Accessibility>Display>Reduce Transparency turned on? If so, try turning it off. That's one of the things affected by Dark Mode, so maybe. (I'm not using iOS 26, so I'm extrapolating…)

Revealing Library in Photos App:

I don't see it, myself, at first.. But, putting my iPhone to sleep > press the power button > the power button to get back in, it then shows.

  1. Go Here: What’s New in iOS 26 - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: Photos

Well, i found the glitch and i think it is a hit and try, probably varying from iphone to iphone.

like for TheLittles’s Profile - Apple Community The issue got resolved using lock button but for me it got resolved pnce i switched between “selecting the photos for deletion” and then cancelling the selection. So probably ios is adapting to each phone differently, i guess .

If this occurred after installing an update, then you should report it, 100%.

"Well!: just a few seconds later same thing happened again the header disappeared as i repeated the process of multiple selection of photos n then de-selecting them. Plus in addition to this the library is not showing the timeline also while scrolling through the photos app.. i guess we may be forced to upgrade to iphone 17."

Save youself quite a few, and just await the next update. It took TEN days for the first update; so wait it out.
