Anyone else having copy and paste issues? I notice it a lot in Messages but it has happened a couple of times across safari and Apple suite.

MacBook Air (M2, 2022)
On my MBP (MBP 15 M1 Tahoe 26.1) I can no longer paste images from the clipboard into a messages.
This is affecting both the Messages application and Microsoft Outlook on my MBP.
If I attempt to paste an image into the Mac Mail application, the image is attached as a .pdf file to the email, the image does not display in the email message.
I've been searching and attempting solutions found on the internet, but none of them have worked.
If anyone has a solution, including Apple, please share it.
