All files gone from ICloud, and I didnt do it. Really not happy

On all my devices all my files have gone but the folders have remained. I see that others have had the same problem, so why hasn't this been fixed. OS is current. Please advise because this is really annoying especially if I have to relocate them. My devices include, iPhone, IPad Pro and MacBook Pro

Files would not be displayed if each was removed or if the files did not sync. You can recover from your backups.

Never had a -problem before and then this has happened just recently. I haven’t moved or deleted any files. As mentioned they have all disappeared across all my devices.
