I restarted my phone and it worked. 🫣
What exactly have you tried so far? Are you seeing any error messages? Are you logged into the same Apple Account with your new iPhone as the same one you used on your previous phone when you first set up this AirTag?
I’m having an issue as well. I can add my air tags to my iPad Pro but not my iPhone 17 Pro. My phone recognizes the air tag is nearby and prompts me to connect. I am signed in to my Apple Account, as shown in the details after I choose a name (standard or custom - I’ve tried both). I see, “AirTag is Linked To Your Apple Account” followed by my profile picture, email address and phone number. My iPhone and iPad are linked to the same apple account.
My phone says “connecting” for a couple minutes anfter agreeing to everything, and hitting “Continue”. Finally, an error message pops up: “Could Not Complete AirTag Setup. To set up this AirTag, sign in with your Apple Account in Settings.” I’ve reset the air tags, to no avail, and I’ve gone back in to FindMy to confirm that it hasn’t been added. I’ve tried this with multiple AirTags and, again, I’m able to successfully add them to my iPad with ease, just not my iPhone 17 Pro (they were previously added to and removed from my old iPhone).
