AirPods Pro 3 not sticking to MagSafe chargers

So I got my AP3 and I noticed they won't stick to my Magsafe chargers, sure they charge if I lay it flat and set it on there just right but the AP2 would actually stick to the Magsafe charger (and I 3D printed a holder for it).

Is this normal? Why would they get rid of this feature? or is there something I am just missing?
