Can I still access my photos after cancelling iCloud+ for over 30 days?

I stopped my ICloud+ subscription on August 21 2025. Today (September 24,2025), my phone was damaged badly and is not recoverable at all. I just got ICloud+ again today, however Im wondering if there is anyway that I can get the pictures and videos I had on my phone between August 21- today (September 24, 2025). I saw online that there is a 30 day grace period for those photos that I didn't have backed up. Is this true, and how do I get that grace period? Any other suggestions on how I can recover those photos during that month?! Any tips are really appreciated!!!

I should add, I also have a MAC, its an older MAC though.

In a browser like Safari, sign in to your account at iCloud.com and see what's there. Since it's been over 30 days, there's no guarantee, but you might get lucky.

If you sign in your new phone to that account, then the pictures on the new phone will be copied to iCloud, and any pictures that were already at iCloud, if they're still there, will be copied to your new phone.
