Continuing numbered lists from specific paragraph styles in Pages

I know the title sounds confusing, but let me try to explain it.

Lets say we have the following example (Title and Lorem Ipsum are different paragraph styles):

----------

1.Title

Lorem Ipsum.... (<= random text)

2.Title

----------

but if the text in-between also has a numbered list

----------

1.Title

1.Lorem Ipsum....

2.Lorem Ipsum....

3.Lorem Ipsum....

4.Title

----------

the title assumes the previous sequence of numbers. So basically my question is if there's a way to set it up so it continues from only the title numbers, not the text in-between. Im using it for a questionnaire wit 100+ questions, would be nice if I wouldn't have to manually adjust it every time.

Thank you guys in advance!!!

This is easily done, although you may need to tweak the formatting.

Numbers bases the sequencing based on indents.

If the 'Lorem Epsom' entires in your example are indented the same as the Titles, then Pages will consider them part of the same sequence.

The solution? indent the sub-sequences.

i.e.:

1. Title

<tab>1. Lorem Ipsum

<tab>2. Lorem Ipsum

2. Title 2

<tab>1. Lorem Ipsum

<tab>2.Lorem Ipsum

3. Title 3

You only need to hit the tab key once after the title, since each subsequent line will use the same hierarchy as the previous line. When you want to go back 'up', use shift-tab.

If the indent affects the visual, you can change the tab markers to be minimal (although not 0).
