How to remove persistent red notification from Apple Wallet on iPhone XS Max

Phone is a XS Max running 18.6.2.

A couple of days ago someone tried to use my Apple card to make some purchases which were declined, pending verification. There are a total 6 attempts.

I have gotten everything squared away with Goldman Sachs but the red circle with the number one in it persists. The Bank was unable to help me with that.

How do I get that red circle to go away. Turning off the Notifications is not a good idea from my standpoint, although it does work until I turn them back on. I have done a "hard reset".
