Seems you want to see the Flash drive showing up on your iPad so that you have access to it.
Apple support have articles online (links below) that may be helpful with the Flash Drive:
(NB: Articles are for iPadOS 26, else please choose your iPad OS version at top of each article)

Eg: says:
"You can use the Files app
and other supported apps to access files stored on external devices, such as USB drives and SD cards, connected to your iPad."

Eg: You may want to check that the flash drive is one that can be used with your iPad model.
