Tahoe: secondary click isn’t working on trackpad as before

Working normally on my MacBook Pro, both with the internal trackpad and a Magic Trackpad. Set in System Settings > Trackpad:

I did a restart of finder , press apple logo at top left of screen, force quit, select finder and press relaunch. This solved the issue of no double press working anywhere.

Control-one finger tap works, but I’d prefer the old two finger tap so as not to have to have hand on keyboard as well.

I get it now...

I see no difference in the way the Track pad responds.

Make changes to your settings and compare your results

I would avoid any options that conflict, look at your Accessibility settings>>Pointer Control>Trackpad options

I'm not having any issues with it. I think leroydouglas may be on to something. Apple does have an annoying tendency to turn features on or off during updates.

THX Andrew, it worked, indeed, one shall select OFF and go back to the original selection and all gestures are working again. Funny observation and thanks again for your hint.

i having a same issue, in my case after update to macos tahoe, sometime my mac is stuck when i working, i can't do two finger tap and anyting, i can't do my job. and when i now the problem is finder not responding. and this case still happens frequently. in the previous macos this never happened

I was having the same problem and you really won't believe how I fixed it. I went to the trackpad settings and turned off secondary click then turned it back on again for two fingers. I'm not sure it will work for everyone but it worked for me

I'm having the same issue since the "upgrade" to Tahoe. Have tried all the solutions in this thread (restart, turning two finger tap off and back on, hard restart of finder) with no luck.

Also, the right click menu works fine with my bluetooth mouse. It is just the two finger tap that is the problem.

Any other ideas? This is super frustrating.

OK, this is really strange - after posting this, it randomly started working again. I didn't change anything. Bizarre.
