Changing Child's Apple ID with a child's account under family sharing

I would like to change my child's apple ID on their ipad to a new apple ID (email address) and keep their data and keep them under family sharing. I have a computer and the two of us have family sharing with myself as parent/guardian and them with a child account on their ipad. How do i change their apple id but keep them under family sharing with me as parent/guardian?
