Beats Solo 4 muffled audio during gaming on iPhone

Ive had this problem for a while now. Whenever I use my beats solo 4 to listen to music the audio sounds perfectly fine. But then whenever I would play a game with them connected to my phone, the audio would sound muffled or like the audio is far away and it sounds really quiet.
