Sorry but there is nothing anyone can do for you here. Meta is notorious for having broken products and zero customer support.

Maybe look in the App Store and see if there is a newer version than the one you are using.

You could also try try a forced restart, if that doesn't work reinstall the app.

Try a forced restart.

• Press and quickly release the volume up button

• Press and quickly release the volume down button

• Press and hold the side button.

• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

You are trying to get support for WhatsApp here on an Apple Support site, where Apple has no control over WhatsApp. You have also experienced that Meta does not offer any useful support for their customers. There is no support site such as this for users to express concerns and no number to call where you would get a resolution to a problem.

Offloading the app does not free up storage and it is not supposed to, you would need to delete the app. The choice is yours if the app meets your needs and you are getting the support you would expect, and with any third party app, the choice is yours if you want to use it.
