Search in Calendar app not working after iOS 26 update on iPhone 11

Since I have downloaded IOS 26 on my iPhone 11 the search function in calendar is not working. From typing the first letter it just states no results. I have checked the settings but can’t see anything that would help, and I have restarted my phone but it’s still not working.

Can anyone help please?

I’ve tried this a few times too and it hasn’t made any difference. Thank you for trying to help.

Thanks for trying.

Now, let’s try a slightly different procedure:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Calendar > Search, turn off the 2 settings there.
  2. Turn off Calendar in Settings > [your name] > iCloud
  3. Force restart iPhone - Apple Support. This can be tricky the 1st time you try it. You must see the Apple logo to be certain the restart was forced. This is important because a forced restart clears the cached files iOS uses, in particular the search indexes.
  4. Re-enable the settings in step #1 and #2.

Otherwise, are your calendars from another provider (Gmail, Outlook…) ? If so, have you tried to remove the account and add it back ?
