after updating to OS26 my Ultra is constantly asking for PIN code, again and again. Why is that, what is the solution ?

Wrist Detection is still enabled in the Settings for Passcode? If yes, disable it force restart the watch and enable it again.
To force restart, press and hold the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
If this does not work, unpairing the watch would be the next step:

I add that in my case, it's about how much I tighten the strap. Now I have to keep it one hole shorter then before. After always been wearing it looser. Leaving marks on my wrist. Now trying 26.1, seems better from this point of view
Did you also try to erase the watch and set as a new device, without using the latest backup, to rule out defective data?

I'm afraid, it's time to contact the official Apple Support and ask them to diagnose the watch.
Sorry, but since watchOS 26.1 just came out, you might have to use the Feedback link again, so that the issue gets more escalated by a higher number of users giving the feedback.

I executed both proposed solutions and the issue still remains - watch is asking for passcode again and again, it is really anoying. Is Apple aware of that and are you looking for a permanent solution ?

After I've reset the watch its more useless than before 😂

The wrist detection works but still ask for passcode, heart rate monitor doesn't work, workouts is going crazy 🤦♂️
Like honestly no point in wearing it.
Support run diagnostics, which showed no errors, watch self has no damages so yea whatever they were trying to achieve with the new updates just made the watch useless 😂

It keep happening to me too, after iOS 26update, it's clearly Apple fault as for many other issues coming along latest update, but they just don't care
I did that also, talk to official agent for 15 minutes, did everything what she proposed and still doesn't work.
Now my only hope is that Apple fix that with the next update
Hello all, after new update to watchOS 26.1 my hope to get this issue fix is gone.
Anyone any idea, I reported the issue to Apple official feedback site but nothing happened.
In my case, it asks me to enter my Apple ID password — almost every morning, even though I logged in the day before.
