Cannot load the spatial scene model

I too had this error on iPhone 13 since installation of iOS 26. I tried every solution that I found. Like reducing motion in accessibility, turning off low power mode, (both of which I was not using of course) and allowing 3d scene setting in photos app settings etc.

I was wondering how it was possible that even on a 5g connection photo could not get loaded. I don’t have a proper wifi setup at home. So I took a hotspot connection from another person and voila! It worked. It seems at the beginning it requires to download some software files through wifi. After this I disconnected from that hotspot and now Spatial scene model photo works on my own connection.

This error message can appear for two reasons:

1. Either your iPhone does not have enough free storage to save the downloaded high resolution photo
2. Or your iPhone does not have a stable internet connection.

You may want to check the free storage on your iPhone and free some storage, if the storage is low, and also check the Wi-Fi connection.

As a test, to see, if the image could be downloaded to your iPhone, open it in Photos and try to add some adjustments. Can you work in Photos with the photo?

if you can work with the photo in Photos, use the Share button to add it as a background image. Then the button to turn on the 3D effects should work.
