Past Slideshow Feature: How can I do this??

Hello People, after iOS 17 a slideshow feature that’s really important to me was lost….

Before to compare small differences in two photos, I just select the two pics, tap ‘slideshow’, and I can easily swipe left and right, to swap between the images, and see how small edits compare……

Now slideshow will swipe each image the whole way across the screen 😩 instead of a just a tiny fade between - while the images hold in place.

(plus text on screen, auto ken burns, and doesn’t loop!)

The new Preview app will only load one image at a time :-( (I had hoped it would solve this!)

I can sort of set this up an iMovie, but it’s so much slower to do, and the result is not as flexible to interact with.

I have loaded a few other slideshow apps, but haven’t found anything that can do this :yet… -(

I really want to select two pics, and alternate between them, to see small differences, while they stay in place. Just a fade between them would be great!

Any help in regaining this possibility would be much appreciated!!
