Unable to search for photos by location or name on iPhone

Something just happened with my photos and I can no longer search for them by location or by name of person they just flip around and I can’t even look at them. What happened? I have a funeral on Friday and I’m trying to get family pictures off and I can’t get them. What am I supposed to do? I am so upset.

Original Title: Trying to put family album together for my father-in-law‘s funeral and the photos are not I can’t get my pictures. I cannot get my pictures and search for them the way that I used to what happened

Oh-- sorry about your loss!

Of course, we can't possibly know what happened. What have you tried? What do the People Albums show?

Have you tried a forced restart?

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

This is different from a simple Power Off. I had to continue holding the button down past the "slide to power off" message, and then I released the button only after the Apple Logo appeared indicating a re-start.

Have you tried to find the photos by location starting from the places collection?

Searching by the name of a location has never been well supported, because we can find them sorted by the location in the Places album. The same goes for the People album.
