The problem is that the ads are misleading, which is why you see so many users who did not know they were signing up for a free trial that becomes a subscription. There is really one solution that will solve the problem, and that would be to make it clear to the user that they are signing up for a subscription. It should be a clue when you see so many people wondering why they are being charged for this.

What does the charge appear as exactly on your card's statement?

Unless it shows up as "apple.com/bill", it is not a charge made by Apple, and as such any cancellations and refunds would need to be discussed with the vendor doing the charging.

If it is appearing as coming directly from "EU_smartyme" then contact them through there website, or check your account with them to cancel any active subscription you may have with them. Apple is not involved in this case.

If it appears as "apple.com/bill". why do you assume it as has anything to do with "EU_smartyme"?

You can identify charges appears as "apple.com.bill" in the following website.

Well, if it appears as an actual charge on your card statement, then it's a real charge.

If this was just an email, or message, with no a actual charge on your credit card, then it's likely a scam.

If its a charge on your credit cad, then they already have your info, and the best course action is to go a cancel it on their website.
