iPhone calendar suddenly deleted old events

Recently, I was checking my iPhone Calendar, and all of the events I had set for this month and the next, as well as everything before, suddenly disappeared. I tried looking everywhere online on how to fix this, including making sure Settings > Calendar > Sync is set to Keep All Events, and my account syncing seems fine but nothing has worked. Has anyone encountered this issue, and if so does anyone have a fix that worked for them?
