Why does Calendar on MacBook add events in the wrong order??

I use MONTH view and have lists of all my daily appointments in each day - however whenever I add a new appointment -lets say at 5pm on any given day - it adds it to the TOP of the list ABOVE all the other appointments that are in chronological order order so it now shows my first appt at 5pm then underneath my first morning appointment followed by everything else in the correct chronological order underneath.

The only way I have found to fix this is to repeatedly open and close Calendar after every entry. This is beyond ridiculous? This is a £2500 MBP - I do not expect these constant bugs.

For the record this is at least my 5th MBP over the years and it had this frustrating bug on all the others too - no one at Apple could figure it out in previous contact...their best offering was 'oh it's supposed to do that' but were unable to offer any reasoning as to why that would ever make any sense. Typical Apple response tbh.

I was hoping now more time has passed this has been figured out - it seems such a basic task for a calendar app? Adding an appointment to a list of other appointments on the same day - why on EARTH would it be by design to put the new appointment out of chronological order? I should add that my date/timezone etc is absolutely correct.

What is "wrong" for one Calendar user may be quite alright for another.

Its ok with me if a newly added event displays at the top of events added earlier.

It is easy to check that my newly added event appears as planned, and on the correct day.

(If it added at the bottom of a long list it might not show completely in month view.)

We do not know how just how you work with your calendar. We are all unique.

Simply highlight an event and click on "Day" to see all events in chronological order, (including any events that don't display in the small space of month view) and click back to "Month" when done.

You can send feedback to Apple if you wish.:

All feedback is carefully read and logged, and if others are wanting a similar control of that particular calendar display feature, we may see changes in a future update.
